Trade and investment liberalization has had far-reaching implications for food systems and nutrition. This seminar will examine the pathways through which trade impacts on nutrition, and explore opportunities to improve policy coherence in an era in which public health policy space is increasingly constrained by international trade and investment agreements.

The Winter School’s program “Food & Health” will bridge the gap between different disciplines by offering a strong multidisciplinary environment, where students will have the opportunity to follow a variety of sequentially related courses on food quality and health. This Winter School program focusses on the most relevant aspects of food quality and human nutrition, in order to understand how they are related and how they affect human health, through dietary habits.
