 I worked as a Visiting Researcher at  the University of Tokyo and as a Foreign Visiting Scholar at Hitotsubashi University. He served as a Team Leader, Principal and Co-principal Investigator at ational and international projects.

Main Methods Used

 The project examine the the impact of the intervention programs of self help group on households` well-being and women empowerment in Bangladesh for three year household level panel data of randomized field experiment from 2013 to 2016. The distributional effect of the intervention program is investigated by looking at impacts across locations and gender groups. This study finds evidence that participation in the intervention programs is associated with well being  improvements and women empowerment in key indicators such as participation in decision making process to take the loan, agricultural production, house repairing, freedom of wearing and joining the social activities. The well being improvement and women empowerment impacts of intervention program of vulnerable rural people are estimated using Difference in Difference Ordinary Least Square and Fixed Effects Models.
